LS Chamber of Commerce - Gala 2023 Event

The Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce offers members a unique experience with a large Gala fundraising event every year. This year I was the Co-Chair of planning the event and was able to use my Graphic and Floral Design skills to make it an event to remember. The design projects included formal invitations, program/menus for guests, posters to highlight different sponsors of the event as well as a looping video to highlight sponsors and provide the "Hollywood awards" experience.

Looping Presentation Video
This video played on loop on all of the projector screens throughout the venue. The title screen played for 5 minutes before running through all the event sponsors and was made to look like the graphics shown at a real movie awards show.

Printed 5x7 Tri-Fold Invitation
This tri-fold invitation was printed on a mat cover stock and all the gold elements had a UV coating to provide shine.

Printed Drink Tickets
The size of a business card, these drink tickets were handed out to all VIP and special guests to get a free drink of their choice.

Placed at each table setting and provided important information about the nights events and menu options.

Website Banner Designs
This banner was the header image at the top of the Gala Ticket and Auction website. Both desktop & mobile sizes provided.

8x10 Bar Menu Signs
Two different bar signs were needed to showcase signature drinks and the VIP Bar menu options

24x36 Sponsor Posters & Wall Design
In keeping with the Oscar's theme, we wanted to create a unique "movie" poster style wall to showcase each of the event's sponsors all in one location instead of having the spread throughout the room as in years past.

Magazine Photo Box Design
Every year, the Gala committee strives to come up with a unique photo opportunity. We decided the best way to do this for this event would be to have a large 6x8' magazine experience. I created all the graphics for the magazine box and used my knowledge of die cut machines to help guide in the process. Here is the original SVG file and the Magazine Box in use.

V.I.P Lounge Lighting Concept
We created a V.I.P Lounge area for exclusive use for our V.I.P ticket holders. In order to make the lounge the place that guest would want to hang, we needed an Oscar worthy wow piece. Through some image searches of past Acadamey Awards shows, we came up with a fun and unique light feature.  I sketched up the concept and our builder created them event better.  Here is the original sketch and final design.
